Current Admissions Policy >

Admission Policy Consultation.

In order to fulfil our legal requirements, we are required to consult widely on our admission policy every 7 years, even if there are no changes. Although we have not proposed any specific changes to our existing admissions criteria, the policy has been updated to include a section on 'Summer-born' children. Our proposed admission policy can be found here. In line with the Schools Admissions Code, we will fulfil the minimum six-week period of consultation by enabling the consultation to run from 14th December 2020 to 31st January 2021.

Any comments, queries or suggestions about the policy should be addressed to the 'Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mr Abdul Chohan', via 'The clerk to the Trustees' using the following email address: admin@theolivetreeprimary.com

Making an Application for Admission.

Bolton residents who have registered their child’s details with Bolton Council will be sent an admissions information pack at the end of September. You must wait for this pack before applying as it contains your child’s unique reference number which will enable an on line application to be made.

If you have a child with a date of birth between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 (inclusive) and you have not registered their details you must contact Pupil and Student Services on 01204 332143 / 332137 immediately.

The closing date for all applications is 15 January 2021.  If you apply after 15 January 2021 your application will be late and this may affect your outcome.

If you applied online you will receive your offer by email on 16 April 2021.  You will also receive an offer letter by post.  If Bolton Council has not been able to offer you your preferred school you will also receive an appeal form. If you have completed a paper preference form your offer letter will be posted on 16 April 2020.  If Bolton Council has not been able to offer you your preferred school you will also receive an appeal form.
