Year 6 Class

Parents' Meet and Greet.

Dear Parents, As we have not been able to meet you face to face due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have created the videos on this page with key information about your child’s learning. The video above provides a learning update that was delivered to parents on 31.01.22.  It contains key information about the Y6 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs). The videos below, marked '6A' and '6B', contain key information for each of our year 6 classes. The third video (also below) is for our trip to Whitehough Residential Centre which is scheduled to take place in the Summer term. We hope you find the videos useful. Should you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning please do not hesitate to get in touch through Class Dojo.

Homework Grids.

Homework is usually issued to children on a Friday and must be completed and returned by Wednesday. To help with this, a homework grid is issued to each child every half term. We have included some examples below but the most up to date version of your child’s homework timetable can be found in their homework folder on Showbie.

We will continue to send home knowledge organisers and homework grids to support children ‘s learning – please do encourage your children to make best use of these to help them with their learning.

We know that we see you regularly at the start and at the end of the school day as this is a good opportunity to liaise about your children. If you would like to speak to us at greater length, then please arrange an appointment to meet with a member of the Year 6 staff through the office.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
